Manzil Pakistan successfully organized Pakistan’s 1st Multimodal Logistics Conference 2022


Manzil Pakistan took the initiative to organize the 1st Multimodal Logistics Conference and brought together all the stakeholders from manufacturing, distribution, logistics and Government authorities to stimulate dialogue for improving the multimodal logistics infrastructure in line with the industrial requirements based on the new trade policy.

The President of Pakistan, His Excellency Mr. Arif Alvi bestowed the honor of inaugurating the conference and said a few valuable words. His excellency thanked and congratulated the research think tank on organizing such an immensely successful conference that was the need of the time. His Excellency appreciated the efforts of organizers for also planning post-conference follow up sessions on each mode of transport and run a roadshow with various chambers and associations across Pakistan to support the industry in reaching solutions for the challenges of this industry. The stage was then left for Mr. Aasim Azim Siddiqui, Vice Chairman, Manzil Pakistan, who warmly welcomed all the participants and shed light on the past endeavors of the research think tank along with the proud collaborations with government ministries. He highlighted the importance of the conference and expressed his belief that it is an important opportunity for all stakeholders to come forward and highlight the significance of their projects along with the hurdles they confronted during such projects with suggested solutions.
The conference included stakeholders from all the spheres of multimodal logistics. Representatives of relevant industrial associations, container handling companies, ports, research organizations, international organizations and other relevant industries were present and expressed their valued views. Representatives of government authorities such as Pakistan Railways, Ministry of Commerce, KPT, PQA, NHA and NLC also attended the conference.
In the end, Mr. Aasim Azim Siddiqui offered his gratitude to the participants who made the conference such a successful event and mentioned that the conference is not a single time event rather it must be considered as a regular feature and pledged to reorganize the conference on annual or half yearly basis, as the need arises, to follow-up on all the promises and results of the previous debate.
